Guided Munro Group rides for 2022. MTB Guides

Real mountain bike adventures in the Scottish Highlands.

In the summer months, we offer open group rides for some of our 'Munro by MTB' courses. The price for a day ride is £100 per person for a fully guided experience of descending some of Scotlands most famous Munros and mountains. Please look through the list below which will have more dates added to it as the year goes on.

Minimum numbers do apply and if you don't see a date that suits then please do get in touch and we will see if we can organise one that does. Also, we are available for private guiding, so if you are a group of friends/riding buddies or colleagues etc that want a guide to yourself then we can organise that for you too.

All of our Munro by MTB rides will require a reasonable level of fitness as you may be out riding/walking for 4-8 hours and will have at least about 900m of climbing and descending. To try and give you a bit more information about each ride we have given a rating of 1-3. 1 is the lowest level and 3 is the highest, if you have any doubts then please do get in touch. If you would like to know more, please visit our participant notes page.

2022 Munro by MTB ride dates.

May 14th and 15th - Trossachs Munros

£100 for 1 day or £175 for the full weekend

This COurse is based in the Trossachs with a location to be confirmed. The Trossachs Munros are generally lower and served by some very good paths and trails making them quite aceesible.

Day 1 will be a more accessible Munro and a good opportunity to test your fitness and skills, perfect if this is your first Munro by MTB. Day 2 will depend on the group and weather but it would be more of the same as day 1 or taking it up a step.

May 28th and 29th - West Coast Munros

£100 for 1 day or £175 for the full weekend

This course is based out of Fort William and may well include some travel around the west coast to make the most of the weather and conditions. Prices include the cost of guiding and the use of a Hookabike for the guided days.

The West coast Munros are usually big days out with many starting from near sea level but there is a variety of technical rides available and something for everyone.

June 11th and 12th - A9 Munros

£100 for 1 day or £175 for the full weekend

This course is based out of Dalwhinnie but again may include some travel. The Munros in the A9 corridor offer a range of Munros with some less technical riding and less climbing. It also has the options for some very big and adventurous days out.

25th - 26th June - Northern Cairngorm Munros

£100 for 1 day or £175 for the weekend

This Weekend is based out of Aviemore which gives us great access to the Munros of the high plateau of the Cairngorms and the fantastic wide-open spaces. These higher tops offer great high level riding on some pretty good trail surfaces.

We can tailor the rides to meet the group members needs and the amount of snow that may still be holding on. Options include single Munros to multi Munros for a bigger day.

July 9th and 10th - Eastern Cairngorm Munros

£100 for 1 day or £175 for the weekend

Based out of Ballater in the Eastern Cairngorms, a wealth of estate tracks and well-built paths give us access to a huge number of Munros with some amazing riding.

Day 1 will be an introduction to mountain riding and a good ride to try your hand at. Day 2 will be a bigger journey hopefully taking in a couple of Munros but we will match the day to the weather.
